Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Season 11, Episode 2

Sugar

A young woman's body is found stuffed inside a suitcase, and police believe that Emily Keefe (Julie Craig), the victim, was a train passenger on her way to Tampa when she was murdered. Detectives Benson and Stabler turn to Keefe's financier boyfriend, Owen Cassidy's (Matt Burns) yacht to investigate. However, Cassidy claims he was on his boat during the time of the murder. After further searching, the detectives discover Keefe belonged to an online dating website, but when the CEO of the dating website, Vance Shepard (Eric McCormack), refuses to comment on the case, the detectives turn to Executive ADA Sonya Paxton for help. The episode comes to a shocking conclusion when Shepard's young daughter, Chantel, is revealed to be the real killer. After years of her father's emotional neglect, she is pushed over the edge when Emily had revealed that Vance had blown off her's soccer tournament to be with her. Enraged that her father had lied to her again, Chantel strangled Emily in a fit of psychotic rage. When confronted with the evidence, Chantel grabs a pair of scissors and stabs Vance in the neck, causing him to bleed to death as she coldly states that he will never break another promise to her again. She's also presumably sent to jail for this.
