Executive ADA Sonya Paxton (Christine Lahti) returns again to try to help an old friend, Alicia Harding (Debra Messing), a television journalist who starts receiving personal threats. However, when a cold case within Harding's family returns to the spotlight, she begins to become extremely passionate in the search for the suspect, which places Paxton's life in jeopardy.
